Tuan Sheikh Ahmad Raffie Sheikh Abdul Rahman

Advisor & Head of Strategic Communications

Tuan Sheikh started off his career as an Anchor and Announcer in Radio Television Malaysia (RTM). With over 15 years of experience in broadcasting (television & radio); of which; more than 10 years were spent in senior management positions. He is now an Advisor & Head of Strategic Communications in MCMC. His extensive experiences cover areas such as turn-key news operations, management, branding, and strategy for internet, radio and television. He also has consulting experience which includes media strategy and perception management for government and private sector.

Tuan Sheikh holds a Masters in Diplomatic Studies from University of Westminster, UK and a BSc Econ (Hon) in International Politics & Strategic Studies, University of Wales Aberystwyth, UK.

May Ling is currently the Head of Marketing Services at DiGi Telecommunications, of which she oversees marcomm, brand, sponsorships and activations. She started her career in the advertising industry for 8 years and after a short stint into dark market tobacco marketing, she decided to re-join mainstream advertising in the telecommunications industry. Always passionate in changing the game, she is always eager to ideate and trial new concepts and is a firm believer in excellence in execution.

Effi Nazrel Saharudin or more commonly known as 1Obefiend is a full time writer for Blogserius and Amanz.My, two of Malaysia's leading Malay blogs. Obefiend has been active in the world of blogging since 1998 and was previously the winner of DigiWWWOW Top LOL blog in 2011.

Jenny Lim

Google Malaysia

Jenny is an Account Manager in Google Malaysia. She has worked with HP and IBM and spend 5 years in Microsoft prior to joining Google. She is responsible for managing the online advertisement campaigns of clients in the technology and telecommunications industry. With more than nine years of experience in the technology industry behind her, she works closely with clients in distilling the essence of clients' products and services to produce highly targeted online advertising campaigns that connect clients with their customers.

Kenneth Teo

Vice President, Media Sales, Astro

Kenneth's career in advertising and media is truly 360! Starting his early years in TV production, Kenneth went outdoor, ran an event management company, took a sojourn in radio, and was among the pioneers of Digital in Malaysia. Armed with more than 15 years experience, Kenneth heads up the Media Sales division of Astro which includes ad monetization of all Astro's digital assets besides TV.

Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Monash University and now watches his favorite Astro programmes on the go.

Lucas Lau

An urban nomad and lover of all things technology and the internet, Lucas Lau heads Malaysia's largest online community, Lowyat.NET as Editor, and is a mainstay in the local tech scene. Being ahead of everyone else in the country to mess around with the latest gadgets makes him the go-to guy when it comes to technology, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

On the side, Lucas is also a passionate photographer specialising in Live Music and Portraits, shooting the both the local music scene as the band photographer for Kyoto Protocol as well renown international acts like The Temper Trap and The Deftones. Ramesh Rajandran

Ramesh Rajandran is Head of Online Sales & Services at DiGi Telecommunications. He is responsible for defining, formulating & executing DiGi's end-to-end ecommerce blueprint which includes online sales, online self-service, digital marketing, content strategy and digital consumer engagement. He is also responsible for managing DiGi's social media platforms which includes Facebook, YouTube & Twitter.

Ramesh is also responsible in driving and managing the eCommerce Technical Infrastructure, IS/IT development requirements, online operations.

His previous experience includes over 12 years of product marketing & management at Microsoft Corporation. Ramesh holds a Masters in Business Administration (International Marketing) from University of East London, UK.

René E. Menezes

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder, Better Sdn Bhd

René has been "doing digital" for around 15 years based out of Malaysia. He was part of a handful of people who launched Malaysia's first ad network back in 1999 and has since co-founded a total of 6 media companies over the last decade including the likes of Yellow Brick Road and Media 2.0, reps for Yahoo! and Microsoft advertising respectively. He is currently CEO of Better, a digital consultancy that supports agencies and clients through its partnerships with premium media owners and its representation of Facebook in Malaysia. René is the current President of the Malaysian Digital Association and owns ‘one' share of World Wrestling Entertainment.

Reta Lee

Editor in Chief, MSN Malaysia

Reta Lee is the Editor in Chief for MSN Malaysia and leads a team of editors who manage channels like News, Entertainment, Life & Style, Video and Sports. Before MSN, Reta worked as a writer for some of the biggest celebrity entertainment magazines in town and counts Lady Gaga, Jared Leto, The Pussycat Dolls, Katy Perry, Josh Hartnett as some of her favourite stars she has met in person.

Rueben VJ

Deputy Head of Ad Sales, Yahoo! Malaysia

One of the first hires of Yahoo! Malaysia over 3 years ago, Rueben is currently leading the ad sales team locally. Having been a digital consultant is the Malaysia market for almost 5 years now, Rueben has been privileged work with many brands in Malaysia on their journey in the digital sphere.

Outside work, Rueben continues his digital life around keeping in touch with his friends, gaming and keep track of sports and entertainment news online.

Samuel Wee

Samuel Wee is the General Manager at SAYS.com, a community over 450,000 Malaysian social media users who work with 80 leading brands to connect with the social media generation. At SAYS.com, Sam leads business operations, champions growth and company culture.

During his business studies, he did Malaysia proud when he emerged 1st in the Regional HSBC Young Entrepreneur Awards. It was the first and only time Malaysia won since the competition's inception in 2001. His mix of experience from business strategy and change management puts him at the bleeding edge of social media marketing.

Timothy Tiah

Timothy Tiah is the co-founder and executive director of Netccentric, the holding company for his and business partner Ming's various web ventures. Nuffnang was launched in a small office unit in Timothy's home town of Penang in 2007.

Following the success of Nuffnang, Timothy and Ming went on to establish the integrated social media advertising network Churp Churp in July 2009 specializing in Twitter advertising. Timothy was nominated by Businessweek as two of the 25 best young Asian entrepreneurs & also went on to win several other prestigious awards, one of them being the JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award in 2009.
