Come one, come all! Read all about our partners who truly believe in Internet For All!
At Yahoo!, we're focused on making your daily habits more inspiring and entertaining. More than 700 million people in 60 countries use Yahoo! in 45 languages. People come to Yahoo! because they know they'll find what they need (email, search, stock quotes). They stay on Yahoo! because we offer them entertaining experiences that we know they'll love. We are the #1 destination on the Internet in more than 10 key areas, including News, Sports, Finance, Entertainment, Photos and Mail
Think about what we do every day: we communicate; we take pictures of our friends, our pets, our kids … we check sports scores and stock quotes; we read the news and check the weather. Yahoo! sits in the middle of the world's daily habits. By creating highly personalized experiences for our users, we keep people connected to what matters most to them, across devices and around the globe.
In turn, we create value for advertisers by connecting them with the audiences that build their businesses. Every piece of content and every experience gives advertisers another opportunity to reach users. We help brands weave into the fabric of people's daily lives and they become meaningful, relevant and experiential.
With a strong focus to become a mobile-centric company, we are taking our daily habits and re-imagining them for devices by putting our users first. We want to personalize these experiences and make them faster, more intuitive, more social and compelling.
This means that we're constantly reviewing and iterating on our products and experiences. In some cases, it means updating our products like we've done recently with our new welcome to Yahoo!, Flickr for iPhone and iPod Touch and Yahoo! Mail.
Last December we launched new Yahoo! Mail globally - which is faster, elegantly designed and easier to use. With mobile top of mind, the company launched our new mail product across four platforms - desktop, iOS, Android, and Windows 8. Since launching the new Yahoo Mail for iOS, Android and Windows 8, daily active users on our apps are up more than 50% due to our new found presence on multiple platforms.
In December, we also announced a completely redesigned Flickr iPhone app which was heralded as "the best mobile photo app out there" by Forbes Magazine. With billions of photos, and an engaged community of photographers, this was a huge win for Yahoo! and our passionate users. Since the release of the new iOS app, we’ve seen 25% more photos uploaded, viewed, and shared on a daily basis.
Flickr plays an important part in the introduction of Yahoo! Weather App for iPhone is a brand new iPhone app that incorporates features from the current Yahoo! Most recently, we have introduced new native versions of Yahoo! Mail for iPad and Android Tablets. The design of these apps mirrors the new Yahoo! Mail web and mobile (iPhone/Android/Win8) experiences we launched in December 2012, but also include brand-new features designed specifically for tablets – full screen reading mode and advanced organization tools. As you can see, we are delivering on our promise to make our users’ daily habits more inspiring and entertaining and will continue to build on this promise.
